Seasoned Professional Joins Leadership Team to Expand Company’s Reach
into Local Markets
FORT COLLINS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Advanced
Energy Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS), a global leader in highly

solutions, today announced the appointment of Amir Wachs to general
manager of its new Israeli subsidiary, as of June 17, 2018. In this
role, Wachs will serve as a key addition to the company’s global
leadership team and will initially focus on building a local
infrastructure, including setting up the facilities and developing a
strong local team to support and expand the company’s business in Israel.
This initiative marks AE’s significant efforts in securing a strong
presence in Israel to support the growth of its local semiconductor
business, while expanding the company’s reach into local industrial
verticals. The Israeli subsidiary will comprise select sales, design
engineering and local repair services, and aim to work closely with
customers and local technology centers including consortiums and
universities to drive innovation and business development.

Prior to joining AE, Wachs served for 17 years at Applied Materials
under several titles, including product line head and, most recently,
business development manager. It was as business development manager
that Wachs sculpted his focus on leading initiatives for new business
opportunities, as well as established fruitful business relationships
throughout local markets.
